Mark Spier is the third generation President of Memory Lane Music Group. Mark brings with him a unique mix of skills and expertise, having worked in music publishing, technology, and finance.
Since taking leadership of the business in 2003, Memory Lane’s catalog has more than doubled with additions of new music, including pop standards and contemporary hits. In his time at the company, Mark has overseen MLMG’s songs covered and sampled by a staggering number of the industry’s elite. And under his watch, Memory Lane has been added to the NMPA’s “Top 100” music publishers list.
In addition to serving as President of MLMG, and its subsidiaries, Scion Music, and Larry Spier Music, Mark is also president of Royalty Solution’s Corp, which he founded in 2009, to provide comprehensive and accurate royalty processing and accounting to record labels and music publishers.
Mark graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science, and received an MBA from Columbia University. He went on to work for IBM and then become a VP at Credit Suisse before beginning his tenure at Memory Lane. Mark lives on Long Island with his wife Lori. They spend most of their spare time shuttling their two boys, Matthew and Ben, between various sports practices. In addition to his usual responsibilities, Mark has recently been promoted to IT assistant… for now… we’ll see how he does.
