General
Established in 1923, Memory Lane Music Group has earned a stellar reputation as one of the most trusted names in indie music publishing. In 2006 we created Scion Music Group – a contemporary music entity – with the sole purpose of meeting the needs of today’s writers and music executives. Today we combine the two. With the solid foundation of Memory Lane and the cutting edge savvy of Scion Music, we bring unparalleled expertise, vision, and attention to every step of your music publishing experience.
Larry Spier
Founded in 1923, this indie music publishing co. was created to handle the copyright for the hit pop song Memory Lane by B.G. DeSylva, Con Conrad and Larry Spier Sr. himself, as well as other songs written by Spier. As the music industry grew, so did Larry Spier Music. What was once a small venture by a music writer, began to incorporate and control many pop hits of the 40s and 50s. Today, the company is a subsidiary of Memory Lane Music group (named after… you guessed it, the song that started it all) handling the company’s classic collection.
